We are currently seeking experienced Civil & Earthworks Operators for shutdown projects on sites in the Pilbara. This is an excellent opportunity to secure shutdown work with potential for ongoing projects across Rio Tinto operations. Position Overview: Rio Tinto rail projects Roster: 2 weeks on / 1 week off Pay Rate: $60 – $67 per hour (depending on experience) Project Duration: From March, currently scheduled until the end of May, with potential for ongoing work Paid Hours: 11.5 hours per day Key Responsibilities: Operators will be involved in a rail infrastructure decommissioning and civil works, including: Decommissioning of two rail bridges Excavation and pouring of concrete footings Earthworks and foundation preparation Culvert installation Mixing and conditioning of general fill Bulk earthworks – placement, compaction, and trimming to design Construction of access ramps and rail formation north and south of each bridge Plant & Equipment: We are seeking operators experienced with: Grader – 12/14 ft blade Loader – Volvo L120 or similar Excavators up to 36T Rollers Watercarts 6-wheel Tippers Requirements: To be considered, candidates must have: RII Machine Tickets for relevant equipment White Card Rio Tinto Inductions Ability to pass a CAT3 Medical & Drug & Alcohol Screen Demonstrated civil or rail earthworks experience What We Offer: Competitive $60–$67 per hour Weekly pay cycle FIFO roster (2:1) Work with a respected Tier 1 civil contractor Opportunity for ongoing work across multiple Pilbara projects Please note, with these roles being FIFO out of Perth to site, we are seeking candidates located in Perth, or close surrounds.
