This role involves operating forklifts, supporting production machinery and assisting across multiple areas of the factory. You will primarily be responsible for material handling, machine operation and assisting with production processes within the manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate a counterbalance forklift to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and move stock within the facility. Support production operations when forklift duties are not required including assisting with manufacturing machinery and general production tasks. Work within the Aluminium Saw (Ali Saw) section, including: Loading aluminium materials into the saw Inputting measurements and specifications Cutting materials to required sizes according to production drawings Fabrication section: Operating and supporting machinery such as turret punch, press brake machines. All machines are computerised and training is provided Prepare and load materials into machinery using overhead cranes where required. Assist with machine setup tasks including assembling tooling components such as punches, dies and tool holders. Operate hand and power tools to support fabrication and assembly processes. Maintain quality standards by ensuring materials are processed accurately to specification. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (Steel works). Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a counterbalance forklift. Valid forklift licence (LF) required. Side loader forklift experience highly desirable. Willingness to learn how to operate various machines on the production floor Mechanically minded with the ability to learn and operate production machinery. Strong practical knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings. High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
