A little about the role As a Case Manager in our Complex Care team, you will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood and supported as they navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives. With support from the Team Manager, Therapists and Management, you will oversee the support provided to each young person, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are responded to with care, consistency and cultural safety. Key responsibilities include: Provide leadership, supervision and coaching to team of Youth Workers to support consistent, safe and high-quality care in alignment with Key Assets Practice and Safeguarding Frameworks, and work to develop a positive team culture. Develop, implement and review individualised, therapeutic and culturally safe care plans for young people using trauma-informed practice. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders both internally and externally, to coordinate services, monitor progress, and address any emerging issues. Identify workforce requirements and actively participate and lead the recruitment of senior youth workers and youth workers as required Maintain accurate and timely records in KAA’s systems, and lead effective incident responses, risk management and compliance with child safeguarding procedures. The base salary for this position is $100,776.00 - $ 105,340.56 per annum super vehicle fuel card remote allowances (to be discussed at interview) This is a full-time permanent position. About you You are passionate about improving the lives of children and young people and bring empathy, professionalism and resilience to complex care environments. You are confident supporting teams to build their capability and ensure that they have the resources and guidance to best support young people’s needs. We’re looking for someone who: Holds a recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent. Has at least two years’ experience working directly with children or young people in a complex setting such as out-of-home care. Experience working with young people that have challenging behaviours and/or a disability will be well regarded. Communicates clearly and respectfully, both in writing and verbally, building trust and understanding with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying experience. Understands the impact of family violence, alcohol abuse and mental health illness, and has experience using culturally sensitive and trauma informed approaches to support healing and recovery. Is organised, flexible and confident balancing leadership and coordination responsibilities with direct child-focused practice.
