About the business North Shore General Practice is an Accredited Family General Practice. We run a modern facility with fully-equipped treatment areas. We pride ourselves on providing holistic care for our patients to ensure their healthcare needs are being met across all areas of life. About the role We require a Registered Nurse interested in providing Primary Care to patients in a General Practice setting. The employment position is Casual initially, but still offers security with regular routine hours for the right person - offering approximately 15-25 hours per week. Our practice is open Monday to Friday, as such availability is required on these days between the hours of 8am-6pm; as well as approximately one Saturday shift per month between the hours of 9am-1pm. The Registered Nurses in our practice work in a team of three on any given weekday. Opens, Closes and Saturdays as above do form part of this role. In this role you will be responsible for patient triage, health assessments, chronic disease management, wound care, immunisation administration, management of the treatment rooms, equipment sterilisation and assisting Doctors with minor surgery. We also have a strong focus on providing education to future health care professionals; so the successful applicant will have regular contact with and opportunities to educate (& learn) from nursing and medical students. Skills and experience Prior experience in General Practice desirable but not essential Applicants must hold current unconditional AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse We are looking for a Nurse who will fit in with our amazing team of Nurses, Doctors, Admin and Management team, and is passionate about providing quality care to our patients.
