Murrays Coaches is seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Trades Assistant / Bus Detailer to join our workshop team. This hands-on role supports our mechanics and tradespeople while ensuring our fleet is maintained, cleaned, and presented to a high standard. The Role: Key Responsibilities Clean and detail buses (interior and exterior) Assist tradespeople with mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installations Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for jobs Move and position buses within the yard or workshop Refuel vehicles and complete basic checks Load and unload materials and equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop Follow workplace health and safety procedures About You Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn Able to work effectively in a team environment Physically fit and comfortable with manual work Attention to detail and pride in vehicle presentation Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Current driver’s licence (HR licence highly regarded but not essential) Previous experience in a mechanical, trade, or vehicle detailing environment is an advantage but not essential What We Offer Supportive team environment Stable and consistent work with a national operator On-the-job training and ongoing development Opportunities to grow your career within the transport industry If you’re dependable, hands-on, and keen to build your career in the mechanical and transport industry, we’d love to hear from you.
