We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Access and Approval Advisor to join us in our –Access, Approvals & Geospatial team in Brisbane, on a full time permanent basis. Reporting to the Team Lead Access and Approvals, you will play a key role for managing the development and maintenance of ongoing professional relationships with landowners and communities. This role ensures all interactions align with the company’s guidelines and standards. Key Responsibilities Work within a team to plan projects, identify and gain all approvals required and advising on schedule, budget, key risks and mitigations during the concept, development and delivery stages of energy infrastructure projects. Work as part of a team responsible for the delivery of land access, tenure, environmental, cultural heritage and planning approvals. With the team, identify and liaise with relevant stakeholders to negotiate structured agreement and option documents, and secure tenure for APA projects. On the ground interactions with Landholders and Stakeholders for projects throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Northern Territory Build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage issues, concerns, and disputes effectively, build trust and respect, and anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs. Appoint and manage external consultants through the preparation of scope and deliverables for packages of work where required and manage their performance Ensure that all land access negotiations are undertaken in a professional manner Your background Experience in the delivery of land access, management and/or environmental approvals in the Energy or similar industry Ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively across the organisation and externally; by building and developing relationships based on trust, integrity, and credibility Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with strong attention to detail Well-developed verbal and written communications skills Ability to work in an organised, safe and efficient manner, while working in accordance with policies and procedures applicable to functional responsibilities About the Team The North East Access, Approvals & Geospatial team facilitates the timely, practical solutions that support the successful development and delivery of all APA Energy development projects across Australia. Our team is responsible for securing and managing all necessary land access, environmental, cultural heritage, and planning approvals. We provide end-to-end land access, environmental, and planning support for all new development projects, as required. Our services span across gas transmission, gas-fired power generation, renewable energy, and power transmission infrastructure. We work collaboratively with stakeholders, regulators, landowners, Traditional Owners, and project teams to ensure that every project meets legal, environmental, and community obligations, from concept/prefeasibility through to delivery. By proactively identifying risks and streamlining approval pathways, we help keep projects on schedule, compliant, and community focused.
