The key duties of the position include These EL1 positions sit within the Tenders and Seller Management team of the Digital Sourcing Branch. As the Assistant Director, Tenders Project Lead (Affirmative Measures - Indigenous), you will provide strategic leadership for end to end tendering and seller management activities across multiple marketplaces and panels, supporting thousands of sellers delivering products and services to Commonwealth agencies. You will lead the development and delivery of strategic procurement initiatives in alignment with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules. This includes overseeing complex tender documentation and evaluation processes and providing high level advice to senior government and industry stakeholders. Key duties Lead the end-to-end delivery of tender processes, including planning, documentation, evaluation, and governance, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth policies and Head Agreement obligations. Oversee development and finalisation of key procurement documents: Approach to Market, Request for Tender, Statement of Requirements, Probity Plan, Procurement Plan. Provide expert advice and guidance to senior stakeholders, including executive management, procurement strategy, and risk mitigation. Conduct ongoing risk management for high-risk procurement processes. Prepare and present strategic reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership and government committees. Mentor and develop staff, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, championing innovation and best practice in procurement and seller management. Represent the DTA in cross-agency working groups, industry forums, and policy development activities. Undertake other strategic duties as required to support the successful delivery of Tenders and Seller Management objectives.
