We're seeking a motivated, solutions focused individual to join our team as an APS5 Base Support Officer at RAAF Base Pearce, located in the township of Bullsbrook, Western Australia. RAAF Base Pearce is a dynamic operating environment, supporting flying training, visiting military units, estate development and emergency management activities. As a Base Support Officer, you will contribute to the safe, secure and effective operation of the base by coordinating essential services, assisting with estate management, and supporting Defence personnel and contractors. This is a people focused, fast paced role that requires strong communication skills, adaptability and a proactive mindset. You will work closely with military personnel, APS staff, contractors, emergency services and other agencies to ensure the base continues to operate smoothly and responds effectively to emerging issues. You will support a broad range of activities including facility coordination, operational support, safety and security compliance, and planning for high risk weather and emergency management events. Whether it's assisting with arrangements to support our units day to day operations, supporting exercises, or helping coordinate the base's response to local hazards, you will be contributing directly to Defence capability at Pearce. As a Base Support Officer, your duties may include: Engaging with Defence stakeholders to support day to day operational requests Coordinating with industry partners delivering Defence infrastructure and service contracts Supporting the management of facilities, infrastructure and estate services across the Base Support Area Assisting in the implementation of Base Safety, Security and Emergency Management plans Monitoring compliance with relevant standards and reporting on risks or issues Supporting Defence exercises, aviation activities and visiting units Assisting with preparedness and response activities for natural disasters or high risk weather events (e.g. bushfires, storms) Contributing to planning forums and base coordination activities Providing timely, customer focused support to Defence personnel and contractors Managing resources, records and administrative tasks associated with base operations About our Team EWZ delivers essential, on the ground support to Defence personnel across New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory.
