About the opportunity The Project Officer - Land and Catchment Health is a newly established role at Corangamite CMA, responsible for the delivery of two key river health projects within the Riparian and Water Infrastructure team. The Project Officer will lead and deliver river health projects as part of the fire recovery effort post the January 2026 bushfires and as a component of the “Cultivated in the Curdies” project. The role focuses on working with landholders to assess, plan and manage waterway restoration projects on private land and along crown frontages, procuring and managing contractors, as well as developing strong relationships with Traditional Owners, public land managers and other partners. Based in the Riparian and Water Infrastructure Team, you will also support wider team projects, programs and services, and support existing partnerships between agencies and groups as required. The role is offered full time, and we offer flexible work arrangements and support working from home in combination with working from our main office in Colac and secondary office in Geelong. Remuneration for the role is $87,326 - $99,611 per annum depending on experience plus superannuation. About you Experience working in waterway management, natural resource management, environmental management, conservation projects or programs and a relevant diploma or degree qualification or significant relevant experience. Strong skills and experience in project management, with experience in delivering waterway health or land management projects desirable. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to effectively facilitate complex and diverse engagement processes. High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative to solve problems. Good written communication skills including the ability to prepare management plans, professional business correspondence and reports with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive organisation culture. Demonstrated ability to model the CCMA’s Approach and the Victorian Public Sector values and behaviours. Current Victorian drivers licence.
