About the Role At Avant Risk Advisory Services, you’ll help shape safer healthcare outcomes across Australia by delivering tailored risk management advice and education to doctors and medical practices. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role where your clinical or practice experience directly influences patient safety, quality of care, and risk awareness at a broader level. In this dynamic 12-month contract role based in Perth, you’ll work closely with medical practitioners and practices—conducting risk assessments, delivering engaging educational sessions, and providing expert written advice. Your work will play a vital role in strengthening clinical governance, improving patient outcomes, and reducing risk exposure across the healthcare system. What You’ll Be Doing Deliver expert risk advisory services to members and medical practices Conduct practitioner and practice risk assessments focused on patient safety and clinical governance Develop and present medico-legal risk management education at events Represent Avant with professionalism and a strong member-first mindset Contribute to improving and streamlining risk advisory processes Collaborate with internal teams to identify risks and develop strategies to reduce claims exposure What You’ll Bring Experience in healthcare (e.g. nursing, practice management, risk advisory, or safety & quality) Strong understanding of healthcare safety and quality principles Ability to proactively engage with doctors and practices to identify risks and provide practical insights Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong relationship-building and influencing capability Confidence using systems and technology to manage your work A tertiary qualification in a health-related field (desirable) Interest in healthcare legislation and guidelines (desirable) Why Join Avant?
