A well-established CBD-based law firm is growing and seeking a Legal Secretary / Paralegal to support a Partner and Associate across commercial litigation, wills & estates and family law. What You'll Be Doing Your day-to-day will be hands-on and varied, including: Managing electronic files from opening through to archiving Coordinating diaries and scheduling appointments and court dates Preparing and issuing client invoices Drafting and formatting legal correspondence and court documents Collating briefs and documentation for court appearances Transcribing digital dictation Handling client enquiries with professionalism and discretion Managing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning and document control What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) First 30 days: You'll understand file workflows, become confident using internal systems and establish strong working rhythms with your Partner and Associate. By 60 days: You'll be independently managing file administration, drafting routine correspondence and proactively anticipating support needs. By 90 days: You'll be a trusted right-hand support, confidently coordinating litigation preparation and contributing to smooth, efficient matter progression. About You We're open to candidates at different stages: from junior legal secretaries to experienced operators provided you bring: Minimum 1 year of legal secretarial or equivalent experience Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively High attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Fast, accurate typing and solid Microsoft Office proficiency A proactive, adaptable mindset Confidence working to deadlines in a fast-paced setting Experience with LEAP is advantageous but not essential — training will be provided. This role may also suit a law student with strong time management skills who can commit reliably to full-time work.
