Bakers Delight Mount Gambier is seeking an experienced and reliable Qualified Baker to join our busy retail bakery. This position suits a motivated baking professional who takes pride in producing high-quality bread products while working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of breads and yeast-based bakery products in accordance with established recipes and daily production schedules. Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients to produce doughs and batters. Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, dividers, moulders, provers, and ovens. Knead, portion, mould, and shape dough prior to baking. Monitor fermentation and proofing processes to ensure consistent product quality. Control oven temperatures and baking times to achieve optimal baking results. Apply toppings, glazes, and finishes to baked goods as required. Maintain product quality, freshness, and presentation standards. Assist with stock control, ingredient preparation, and stock rotation. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with food safety requirements. Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets. Requirements Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification, or relevant industry experience. Previous experience working in a commercial or retail bakery environment. Sound knowledge of bread production techniques and baking processes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts. Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
