We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes including starters, mains, and basic desserts Assist in daily food preparation as directed by the Chef Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation Follow standard recipes and instructions provided by senior kitchen staff Assist with food preservation, storage, and basic freezing tasks Support in Menu Preparation Assist the Chef in preparing ingredients for menu items and daily specials Follow established menu plans and recipes Provide input or suggestions for simple dishes or improvements when required Kitchen Operations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and properly Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Follow instructions to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service Stock Control & Storage Assist in monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages Ensure proper food storage in line with food safety standards Follow stock rotation practices (FIFO) Help minimise food waste Team Support Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, and kitchenhands Support other kitchen staff during busy service periods Follow directions from the Head Chef or Sous Chef Health, Safety & Hygiene Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene Follow food safety regulations and workplace health and safety procedures Ensure personal hygiene and safe food handling practices at all times Communication Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service Follow instructions clearly and report any issues to senior staff Skills & Experience Required Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential) Relevant experience as a Cook or Kitchen Staff Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Good time management skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Supportive team environment Opportunity to develop cooking skills and grow within the business Stable and professional workplace If you are passionate about food, leadership, and delivering outstanding dining experiences, we would love to hear from you.
