Learning Support Teacher Temporary Full-time | 12 months Lakes Grammar, Warnervale NSW K-4 focus About the role: The Learning Support Teacher plays a key role in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This role focuses on identifying students requiring additional support, developing targeted interventions, and working collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. In this position, you will help assess student needs using a range of data, design and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and guide staff in implementing differentiated teaching and inclusive practices. You will contribute to whole‑school inclusion by maintaining accurate NCCD‑aligned documentation, supporting classroom adjustments, and fostering strong partnerships with parents and carers. Active participation in professional learning, school events, and collaborative planning forms an important part of the role as well. Accreditation with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) as a qualified teacher (Provisional, Conditional, or Full accreditation). A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment. Desirable Qualifications Special Education Qualification (preferred but not essential) Postgraduate qualifications or additional study in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or a related field. Professional Development in Inclusive Education Evidence of recent and relevant professional learning in the areas of special education, NCCD, learning adjustments, or disability support.
