7/7 FIFO roster & fully equipped Solo field service role with variety Immediate start for the right canidate We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter / Mechanic to join our team in a field service capacity , supporting site operations across a variety of plant and equipment. This role suits a proactive tradesperson who is confident working independently , conducting breakdowns, diagnostics, and repairs in the field. The Role FIFO 7:7 roster available Service projects accross FMG sites Christmas creek, Eliwana, Solomon Solo field service role conducting breakdowns, diagnostics, and repairs Liaise closely with site teams to determine job priorities Coordinate parts and repairs with our Perth-based Parts Interpreter. Maintain clear communication and accurate job reporting Field service ute, tooling, and support provided Equipment You Will Work On Excavators Crane borers VLCs Hydraulic winches Trailer-mounted reclaimers Trucks and various mobile plant Skills & Qualifications Relevant Australian-recognised Trade Certificate Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic Strong experience in breakdowns and fault finding HR unrestricted licence (essential) Air-conditioning (ARCtick) licence Mobile plant and truck experience Broad exposure to Japanese, American, and European trucks Hydraulics experience highly desirable Drill fitting experience highly desirable Full Australian working rights FMG inducted (Diserable) What We Offer Stable ongoing work on a 7:7 FIFO roster Fully equipped field service ute and tooling Support from a dedicated Perth-based parts and operations team Opportunity to work across a diverse fleet and specialised equipment If you’re a self-motivated diesel fitter who thrives in a field service environment and enjoys solving problems independently, we’d like to hear from you.
