People and Performance 0.6 FTE | 12-month Parental Leave Contract | Monarto Safari Park About the role: Zoos SA is home to two extraordinary conservation destinations – Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park. As one of the largest open-range zoos in the world, Monarto Safari Park spans more than 1,500 hectares and continues to grow with exciting developments supporting our mission of saving species from extinction. We are seeking a Recruitment and HR Advisor to join the People and Performance team on a 12-month parental leave contract (0.6 FTE) based at Monarto Safari Park. In this role, you will manage end-to-end recruitment for Monarto Safari Park while providing operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the People and Performance Business Partner, you will partner with managers to attract great people, support employees, and ensure HR processes run smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys the variety of recruitment, employee relations and HR coordination, while contributing to a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to conservation. Key Responsibilities Recruitment Manage end-to-end recruitment for Monarto Safari Park, from advertising through to offer and onboarding. Coordinate interviews, including group interview processes, and manage pre-employment checks. Deliver a positive candidate experience and build strong relationships with hiring managers. HR Operations Provide practical HR advice and support across employee relations, performance management and employee lifecycle matters. Support managers in applying Awards, the Enterprise Agreement, and organisational policies consistently. Assist with employee relations processes, including grievances, investigations and performance improvement. HR Coordination and Administration Maintain accurate HR records, systems and recruitment documentation. Monitor probation periods, fixed-term contracts and internal employee movements. Support HR projects and collaborate with Payroll, WHS and Volunteer teams to deliver effective employee support. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, from advertising through to onboarding. Ability to attract and source quality candidates in competitive markets. Knowledge of HR practices and Australian employment legislation. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with managers and stakeholders. High attention to detail with confidence using HR systems, databases and Microsoft Office. Desirable Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Administration or a related field.
