Boilermaker Seeking a Boilermaker or Structural Fitter to repair and maintain critical mining plant infrastructure for a leading mining contracting business servicing Glencore. This is a FIFO role working mainly on 3 weeks on/1 week off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off roster cycles. About the Boilermaker role Requires: essential qualifications and tickets in welding (MIG, TIG, stick), machining, fitting, and structural repairs as the Boilermaker, able to FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns Salary guide: depends on experience Location: Mt Isa Mines, George Fisher What the Boilermaker will do each day Perform routine maintenance, welding, and structural repairs on handrails, floor mesh, and plant fixtures. Work across different mine site departments or workshops, adhering to site safety and quality standards. Operate in plant or workshop environments, with a preference for workshop settings for some roles. Support supervisors and work collaboratively in FIFO roster arrangements with flights and accommodation managed by the employer. Why this Boilermaker role stands out?
