About the role As a Leading Hand (Roads and Drainage) you will be part of the roads and drainage district team who are responsible for maintenance of road infrastructure. Your main focus will be to undertake general maintenance and lead your crew to complete program tasks on time and to a high quality. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Ensure continuous improvement in the workplace by showing leadership in the workplace and directing staff to ensure tasks are completed with limited supervision Undertake detailed maintenance and minor construction works Operate and maintain plant and equipment within licence requirements Purchase and maintain stocks of equipment in the correct manner to ensure availability View the position description for more details about the role. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Current C Class Drivers Licence Current MR licence highly desirable Knowledge of maintenance activities of Roads and Drainage assets Extensive knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety.
