About the role The Senior Finance Partner (Flood Recovery) provides specialist financial leadership to ensure Council’s flood‑recovery programs are accurately planned, governed and reported. The role delivers high‑level financial advice, oversees compliance with disaster‑recovery funding requirements, and partners closely with project and operational teams to support effective, transparent recovery outcomes for the community. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Deliver financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis for flood‑recovery programs Oversee financial governance and ensure compliance with QRA, NDRAA and other funding requirements Prepare timely financial reporting, variance analysis and expenditure updates for leaders and governance groups Manage end‑to‑end financial processes including ledgers, cost allocations, accruals, reconciliations and audit‑ready documentation Partner with operational teams to identify financial risks, cost pressures, savings and funding implications Prepare business cases, funding submissions and financial assessments for recovery initiatives View the position description for more details about the role. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor's degree in a business or financial discipline Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, general ledger accounting, project accounting and business partnering Experience using spreadsheet, database, ERP and financial reporting systems Strong interpersonal, planning and organisational skills Substantial accounting skills including budgeting, mangement accounting and financial and business analysis Ability to work in line with our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership About the benefits This is a full time, fixed term position for approximately 11 months with a salary starting at $110,838 plus 12.5% superannuation.
