About the role As a Development Planning Services Officer within Development Services Branch you will be part of the Ripley Valley Assessment team and central to delivering a new integrated development assessment structure and the establishment of a “one stop shop” customer model. Your experience in the fields of development assessment, land use planning or regulatory matters, will assist in improving development services within Ipswich, with a focus on the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Assess plan of subdivision, place naming and numbering applications. Prepare and manage infrastructure charges invoices, bank guarantees and on/off maintenance requests. Consult and negotiate on development matters of a complex nature with external stakeholders. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Diploma of Government or a related field or studying to obtain tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related field. Substantial knowledge, skills and experience in the fields of development assessment, land use planning or regulatory matters. Demonstrated experience in exercising judgement and problem-solving on matters of a complex development nature. Effective interpersonal skills including extensive experience in consulting and negotiating on complex matters. High level of commitment and ability in adapting to, and staying current with, changing technology as it relates to the position.
