GM Operations role, P&L holding for a food processing operation with a manufacturing and distribution facility Report directly to the Unit Director with responsibility for a $250m processing operation and circa 200 staff Food Manufacturing/ Processing needed along with operations and distribution experience About the Business The business is a $250m revenue operation delivering fresh produce to the major retailers. With 2 sites around the Sydney area the business is looking to backfill a promotion and to hire a commercially savvy leader to drive improvements within the business whilst ensuring business as usual. About the role Reporting to the Business Unit Director you will hold the P&L for the operation which spans 2 sites (processing and distribution). Through your management structure you will ensure a focus of safe working and a culture of continuous improvement is embedded. Engaging with senior leaders across the broader business your focus will be on capability and development both of people and process whilst ensuring business as usual activities and delivery are not affected. About You You are a proven Senior Leader with your experience gained from running a large food manufacturing/ processing facility. You will have experience holding the P&L, Continuous Improvement Methodologies, implementing safe working cultures and be able to handle senior commercial conversations whilst also being a visible site based leader. Your experience will span both manufacturing operations and distribution operations.
