Position summary Working closely with our People and Culture and Finance teams you will be responsible for the administration and processing of all payroll requirements, processing pay, and interpretation of various industrial instruments. Operating within a team environment and reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will see you processing complex end to end payroll and helping to establish the payroll function in a newly merged entity. This position will be contracted on a fixed term Full-time or Part-time basis, 38 hours per week and for Part-time depending on the availability of the successful candidate, with flexible working arrangements being offered. Duties Maintain payroll data and database and process pay in the TriOnline Rostering/Payroll system. High volume end to end payroll processing including fortnightly payroll processing for approximately 200 employees per week, in partnership with another payroll officer. Process and provide advice to stakeholders, on leave calculations including, annual, personal, long service and parental leave. Work with operational stakeholders in understanding complex rostering and timesheet arrangements against various EBA’s and Awards to ensure compliance and accurate payment including the interpretation of overtime, loading, allowances etc. Reviewing timesheets and calculating pay in line with EBA’s and Award interpretation. Preparation and upload of STP, Superannuation, PLSA Scheme and Child Support payments and reports. Qualifications and Experience Essential Several years’ experience in a similar role processing payroll, in a service driven environment in a medium to large organisation. Demonstrated understanding of the needs and requirements of the payroll function. Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. An understanding of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Friendly and helpful personality with a customer service focus. Desirable Some experience with Award and EBA interpretation and the ability to work with multiple at once. Experience with TriOnline systems. Experience processing payroll in an Aged Care, Community Services or Health Care environment.
