Sydney CBD | Hybrid working We are seeking an experienced Senior Trustee Officer to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract based in Sydney CBD. This role sits within a specialist trustee services team and is responsible for ensuring the efficient administration of trust, custody and escrow arrangements for corporate and institutional clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing operational processes, supporting client relationships and ensuring service delivery in line with agreed service levels. About the Role As a Senior Trustee Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of trust and custody arrangements while supporting operational efficiency across the Trustee Office. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure all trustee obligations are delivered accurately and within required timeframes. Key Responsibilities Client & Relationship Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with trustee office clients and key internal stakeholders Manage client queries and ensure timely resolution in line with service level agreements Oversee the onboarding and administrative setup of new trustee clients Operational & Trustee Administration Oversee trustee administrative activities including: Trial balances and bank reconciliations Trustee payments and cash management Year-end reconciliations Dividend management and proxy voting lodgements Share sale centre trades and payments Margin income reporting and payments Placement of trades with brokers Trustee database administration Manage the Trustee Office inbox, calendar and operational logs Assist with annual trust audits, including coordinating documentation and approvals Support billing processes and follow up on outstanding client invoices Project & Process Management Support operational projects and process improvements within the Trustee Office Assist the Trustee Manager with complex queries and operational oversight Governance & Compliance Ensure AML/KYC requirements are completed for all trust, nominee and escrow clients Support FATCA/CRS compliance and reporting obligations Assist with compliance and risk reporting for internal governance frameworks About You We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured financial services environment. You will bring: 2–3 years’ experience within trustee services, custody, employee share plans, or share registry operations Strong understanding of trust administration, corporate actions, or financial services operations Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Relevant professional qualifications in finance, business or accounting will be highly regarded.
