These roles provide clinical backfill/leave cover across inpatient wards within an acute and subacute hospital setting, offering variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to an adult caseload presenting with swallowing and/or communication disorders associated with conditions such as stroke, progressive neurological diseases, respiratory illness, and head and neck cancer. About You Job requirements - What we are looking for IMPORTANT: Ensure you address each of these job requirements in your application – refer to ‘How to apply’: A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) as a practising clinician Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and manage adult patients presenting with a wide range of swallowing and communication disorders Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent time management and the ability to manage a varied caseload Confidence working independently within a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice Understanding of quality improvement processes and accreditation standards Desirable: Previous experience managing an adult caseload within a hospital setting Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Equal Opportunity and Workplace Health and Safety What we offer: Joondalup Health Campus is the largest hospital in Perth’s northern suburbs and boasts a reputation for excellence as an employer of choice.
