About The Position This is a rare opportunity for a Head Chef to take full ownership of a large-scale kitchen during a pivotal period of change. You will play a key role in shaping the menu, building a team, and setting the standards moving forward. Position Description Lead and manage all kitchen operations in a hands-on capacity Develop and implement a new menu direction aligned to the venue's vision Oversee high-volume service, delivering 200 meals per seating Manage food costs, supplier relationships, and menu costings Build, train, and roster a high-performing kitchen team Recruit key positions including Sous Chef and support staff Maintain strong food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Work closely with senior management on operational and strategic planning Position Requirements Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Food Safety Supervisor Certification (essential) Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in high-volume venues Strong background in pubs, clubs, or similar environments Experience managing large-scale service and functions Solid financial acumen across COGS and labour management Ability to balance creativity with commercial outcomes Confident across pub classics and modern Australian/Asian-inspired cuisine Salary & Benefits $90,000 - $120,000 package including super (negotiable) Relocation assistance and short-term accommodation available Full autonomy to shape menu, team, and kitchen operations Opportunity to lead a kitchen through a major redevelopment phase To apply online, please click on the apply button.
