Key Responsibilities: • Lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, safe and guest ready. • Manage rosters, daily task sheets, timesheets and team scheduling to maximise productivity and efficiency. • Train, supervise and support Room Attendants, Housepersons and Public Area Cleaners, maintaining high standards of presentation and service. • Conduct room inspections, ensure cleaning timeframes are met and uphold strict quality control across all areas. • Maintain safe and effective use of cleaning products, equipment and OH&S practices. • Liaise with Reception on room status updates and guest requirements. • Oversee stock control, ordering, monthly stocktakes and maintenance of soft furnishings and supplies. • Recruit, induct, train and performance manage housekeeping staff. • Ensure lost property procedures, SOPs and hotel policies are consistently followed. • Foster a positive, professional team culture with strong communication and high morale. • Respond to guest and internal enquiries promptly and professionally. • Support departmental budgeting, cost control and operational efficiency What You’ll Bring: • Proven experience in housekeeping leadership, ideally within a hotel or similar environment. • Strong organisational and people management skills, with the ability to lead, train and motivate a diverse team. • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards. • Confidence in rostering, scheduling, stock control and managing departmental budgets. • Excellent communication skills and a guest focused approach. • A solid understanding of OH&S, cleaning procedures and housekeeping best practices. • Professional presentation, reliability and a calm, solutions focused mindset. • The ability to build a positive team culture and deliver a consistently high quality housekeeping operation.
