6-Month Contract (approx. 16/03/2026 to 30/09/2026) Intended Extension 2-3 days in Brisbane CBD office / 2-3 days WFH Offering up to $1,023.09/day including 12% super (8hr work day, 40hr work week) Senior Business Analyst - Contract This engagement will involve the Senior Business Analyst working with stakeholders to refine and prioritise the business requirements for the development of a new invoicing portal. The Senior Business Analyst will also be required to work with the internal analysis and the development teams to deliver a successful outcome for the business within a strictly defined scope, budget and time. Your key responsibilities: Lead and manage business and systems analysis activities for products under management (as a managed activity or in BAU). Identify, develop and review requirements specifications (ranging from business, functional, non-functional, user, and implementation requirements) for ICT enabled initiatives, managed activities or projects. Establish relationships, collaborate with, consult and influence both business and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritise and continuously manage requirements that translate into business benefits. Apply appropriate business analysis frameworks and be able to promote and provide advice on use of appropriate techniques, methodologies, and tools, preferably aligned with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge. Identify project delivery issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary. Technical skills, abilities and cultural capabilityThe following knowledge, skills and experience would be well regarded: Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams, business process modelling (BPMN), and understanding process optimization techniques. Skill in eliciting and documenting clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements using techniques such as interviews, workshops, and prototyping. Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and software development, from requirements gathering through to testing and deployment. Capability to write technical documentation, user manuals, and other project-related documentation that is clear and understandable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and propose effective solutions. Skills to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among stakeholders with different interests and objectives. Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including cross-functional teams, and to build consensus around proposed solutions. Qualifications and conditionsWhilst there are no mandatory qualifications required, the following qualifications and certifications or experiences would be highly regarded: BABOK Certification Experience in BPMN and UML Knowledge of Microsoft technologies would be advantageous and highly regarded.
