Key Responsibilities: Technical Design & Documentation Assist engineers in preparing and reviewing technical designs, engineering drawings, and specifications using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) Prepare detailed construction documentation, technical reports, and as-built drawings to ensure design intent is accurately captured and communicated Site Supervision & Quality Assurance Provide on-site technical supervision during construction phases to ensure compliance with design specifications, engineering standards, and quality control procedures Conduct regular site inspections, identify technical issues, and coordinate timely resolutions with project teams and subcontractors Compliance & Regulatory Adherence Ensure all engineering activities and construction outputs comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards (AS), and relevant state building regulations Review and verify compliance documentation, certifications, and technical submissions for regulatory approval Project Coordination & Stakeholder Liaison Coordinate technical communications between engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery Attend site meetings and provide technical input on constructability, design coordination, and risk mitigation strategies Risk Assessment & Safety Management Participate in project risk assessments and contribute to the development of safe work method statements (SWMS) Identify potential technical and safety hazards on-site and implement appropriate control measures in accordance with WHS legislation Material & Technical Specification Assist in the selection, specification, and procurement of construction materials, equipment, and systems to meet project technical requirements Evaluate supplier technical submissions and ensure compatibility with project specifications Progress Reporting & Documentation Control Prepare and maintain accurate technical reports, progress records, and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders Manage document control processes to ensure version control, accuracy, and accessibility of technical records Essential Requirements: Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related technical field (Diploma or Bachelor level) Proficiency in CAD/BIM software and Microsoft Office Suite Sound knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills
