We're looking for a reliable, hands-on tradesperson to join our team and contribute to a wide range of overhaul, repair, and assembly projects across multiple sectors. About our client We provide specialist overhaul and maintenance services to the Steelmaking, Paper, and Mining industries. Our workshop handles a broad variety of rotating and mechanical equipment, backed by a team of down-to-earth tradesmen who work independently but never hesitate to lend a hand. What You'll Work On You'll be involved in the overhaul, repair, and assembly of: Gearboxes, pumps, driveshafts & conveyor pulleys Bearing installations & rotating equipment Fans, impellers, rolls, shaft assemblies Crushers, hammer mills & similar machinery Brand new slurry pump assembly Flame hardening (heat treatment) Dynamic balancing of various components Workshop Equipment You'll have access to a fully equipped workshop, including: Manual lathes Manual mills Radial arm drill Surface grinder Hydraulic presses Dynamic balancing machine What We're Looking For We're seeking a Fitter who has: Experience in any of the above areas of heavy industrial equipment Strong mechanical sense and practical problem‑solving skills Good judgement, initiative, and life skills A positive attitude and ability to work well within a friendly team Reliability and pride in workmanship Why Join Us?
