Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller (Part-Time) Sydney CBD, 3 days per week An established Australian not-for-profit organisation is seeking a Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function in a small, collaborative team. The Role Reporting to the CFO, this position has end-to-end responsibility for finance and oversight of financial governance. Key responsibilities include: Managing the finance function including GL, payroll, AP, AR and expense management Preparing monthly financial statements, budgets and forecasts Cashflow monitoring and financial reporting Oversight of scholarship and program payments Reviewing financial reporting from external program partners Managing month-end, year-end and external audit processes Preparing Board and Committee financial reporting Ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements including ATO and ASIC Maintaining strong financial controls, policies and internal processes Supporting organisational projects and operational initiatives where required Candidate Profile We are seeking a hands-on finance professional comfortable operating autonomously in a small team. Ideal background includes: CA or CPA qualified Big 4 trained or strong financial accounting background Strong experience across financial reporting, month-end and audit Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function Strong attention to detail and commercial judgement Experience with Xero is beneficial. Working Arrangement: Part-time role - 3 days per week Sydney CBD location Typically 3 days in the office (Tuesdays required) Fridays generally non-working day Flexibility for the right candidate Why Apply?
