We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Work Health & Safety (WHS) Business Partner to join our People and Culture team and partner with leaders across the organisation to strengthen our safety culture and WHS systems. The role: Reporting to the WHS Manager, as the Senior WHS Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders across ACH Group to drive the implementation of Work Health and Safety programs. Your expertise will ensure that our people, processes, and workplace environment meet compliance requirements while fostering a proactive safety-first culture. Importantly, you will contribute to maintaining ACH Group’s self-insurance status, ensuring our ongoing licence to operate. This role is offered as a full-time position, with the possibility of part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Partnering and Leadership Partner with leaders to implement and embed WHS programs and practices Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, policies, and procedures Coach leaders to fulfil their WHS responsibilities and obligations WHS Systems and Compliance Support the WHS Manager in maintaining ACH Group’s Self-Insurance status Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice Develop and review WHS procedures and processes Support WHS and Injury Management committees Risk Management and Performance Facilitate reviews of WHS hazards and incidents Support investigations and root cause analysis of notifiable or critical incidents Analyse WHS data, identify trends, and recommend improvements Contribute to WHS performance reporting and organisational KPIs Continuous Improvement Facilitate systematic reviews of the WHS Management System Work collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders to improve safety outcomes Support quality improvement initiatives between self-insurance re-licensing cycles About You You are a collaborative WHS professional who enjoys partnering with leaders and influencing positive safety outcomes across a complex organisation. Essential Formal qualification in Work Health and Safety or related discipline Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and compliance Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis Ability to analyse WHS data and prepare reports to influence decision-making Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Current National Criminal History Check Current Australian Driver’s Licence Desirable 5 years’ experience in WHS, ideally within a large self-insured organisation Experience in a health, community or aged care environment Understanding of quality management systems Professional certification such as AIHS COHSP (or equivalent) If you want to join our amazing team, we can offer you: Career development with inhouse upskilling and external learning opportunities.
