As a Maintenance Officer , you will play a vital role in ensuring our Seniors Communities remain safe, functional and welcoming. Your work will directly support the wellbeing and daily experience of our residents by providing reliable, high quality maintenance services with professionalism, empathy and respect. Your Opportunity This is a full time permanent onsite role within our Seniors Communities based in Oran Park between Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00pm. As a Maintenance Officer y ou will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, preventative work and general repairs that keep our village running smoothly , , supporting the Village Manager, Operations Manager, Asset Managers and residents. With practical skills, problem solving ability and a commitment to quality, you will maintain buildings, grounds, equipment and shared spaces to a high standard. You will be a trusted and valued member of the village community. With care, professionalism and initiative, you will: Maintenance, Repairs & Safety Complete general maintenance tasks including door/lock repairs, painting, concreting, minor roofing, gutter cleaning, carpet repairs, joinery repairs and general handyman duties Carry out appliance fault finding and minor adjustments Conduct preventative maintenance and accurately record all work completed Keep tools and equipment in safe working order Maintain safe, tidy work environments and follow all WHS procedures Support after hours maintenance requirements on a rotating basis (time in lieu provided) Village Presentation & Service Delivery Ensure buildings, facilities and grounds present safely and professionally Identify repair needs and advise the Village/Operations Manager when replacements or major works are Interact with residents, visitors and contractors in a courteous, respectful and values aligned manner Documentation, Compliance & Systems Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Follow policies, procedures and safety requirements Support continuous improvement and contribute to site safety culture Respect, Inclusion & Resident Support Aid residents with empathy, dignity and professionalism Promote an inclusive and respectful community environment Consider cultural backgrounds and individual needs, including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents What You Will Bring You are practical, reliable and solutions focused — someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys supporting older people in their daily living environment. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you bring a calm, respectful approach to all interactions.
