About the role Are you a decisive leader who prioritises action over talk? A premier heavy equipment dealership group is seeking a high-calibre Branch Manager to lead one of their established operations in the Central West region. This pivotal role oversees a diverse team of approximately 40 staff, focusing on maintenance services, parts supply, and regional projects for the mining and agricultural sectors. We are looking for a "business-smart" operator who can hit the ground running. You will have the autonomy to drive regional business development, specifically expanding the branch's footprint within the local mining industry while maintaining high operational standards and target margins. This is an ideal opportunity for a leader who excels at translating strategy into execution. Role responsibilities Provide overall strategic direction and control for maintenance and parts departments. Lead and mentor a large team of technicians and support staff to ensure peak productivity. Drive business development by identifying and converting new opportunities in the mining sector. Manage branch financials, including quoting, cash flow, and project margins. Oversee resource availability and recruitment to meet project demands. Ensure a culture of safety through regular WHS audits and team meetings. Required skills Proven experience managing medium-to-large teams (35 staff) in a mechanical or dealership environment. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multi-million dollar operations. Demonstrated success in "executing" plans and delivering tangible results. Previous experience or a strong network within the mining and maintenance sectors. Excellent relationship-building skills with senior client representatives. A relatable leadership style that resonates with a trade-based workforce. A competitive executive remuneration package is on offer for the successful candidate. You can expect a negotiable base salary of at least $150k as well as a generous profit share arrangement.
