Role: Data Architect & Governance Lead Day Rate: $1000 - $1200 Super Contract Length: Initial contract until 18 Dec 2026 Location: Macquarie Park/WFH (mandtory 3 days in office p/w) Join a critical Data Program delivering enterprise-grade data visibility and governance across critical business systems and Snowflake. This is a senior, hands-on role reporting to the Senior Project Manager, partnering closely with the CTO, CDO, Cyber and Enterprise Architecture to embed a sustainable governance operating model. The Role You'll lead the design and rollout of a governed, searchable enterprise data catalogue in Collibra, enabling risk reduction, privacy compliance, and downstream data minimisation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Connecting critical systems and automating metadata ingestion Delivering a single, searchable Information Asset Register Establishing a clear business glossary and mapping it to technical assets Capturing meaningful lineage across systems and transformations Applying sensitivity classifications aligned to the information classification scheme Implementing baseline data quality rules and measurable metrics Defining domains, asset types and workflows within Collibra Embedding data ownership, stewardship and governance forums Integrating catalogue assets with policies, retention schedules and privacy obligations Providing dashboards that show coverage, lineage depth, classification and compliance posture Transitioning governance processes cleanly into BAU About You Must Have Proven end-to-end Collibra implementation (catalogue, DGC model, workflows, ingestion, lineage, glossary, policy integration) Enterprise metadata and lineage design across Snowflake and operational systems Establishing governance forums, ownership models and stewardship frameworks Embedding privacy and retention obligations into catalogue controls Delivering tangible governance outcomes within 6-12 month programs Nice to Have Exposure to Microsoft Purview Experience with M365 / SharePoint governance patterns Records management integration experience Apply now - submissions close Monday 9 March at 12pm.
