About the role We are seeking a Senior Psychologist (Grade 3) to provide advanced clinical care, lead psychological practice, and support a multidisciplinary team within the Moroka Program—a 10 bed specialist unit supporting prisoners with complex and challenging behaviours linked to personality disorder. The program uses a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) model, giving you the opportunity to work within a structured, evidence-based framework. A recent evaluation showed strong outcomes, and as part of this team, you’ll genuinely change lives. As a Senior Psychologist, you will: • Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions• Provide expert consultation to clinicians and external partners• Contribute to multidisciplinary risk management and care planning• Mentor and supervise students, interns and early career staff• Support research, evaluation and service improvement initiatives What you will bring: • General registration with AHPRA • Masters or Doctorate in Clinical, Forensic or Neuropsychology. • Eligibility for (or enrolled in) an Area of Practice Endorsement in clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology, and/or forensic psychology.• Strong clinical and forensic assessment skills, with confidence working in complex environments. • Experience with DBT or third wave therapies (e.g. ACT), behavioral principles, or self-harm/suicide best practice is highly valued—but professional development support is also available.
