You will also contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team. You will be required to: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based training and support to the staff in the Perioperative space, with a focus on scrub/scout education. Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility. Provide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process. Carry out team leader duties on shift. Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Floor managers, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care. Skills And Experience You will be an experienced perioperative nurse with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and professional development within the theatre environment. You will also demonstrate: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Minimum four (4) years perioperative experience, with demonstrated involvement in Scrub and Scout education, training, and competency development Postgraduate qualification in a perioperative specialty (or working towards) highly desirable Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent adult education qualification desirable Experience supporting accreditation processes, including participation in quality improvement activities, policy implementation, and compliance with national standards Demonstrated ability to act as a positive professional role model, promoting safe practice, teamwork, and a culture of continuous learning Leadership and team facilitation experience, supporting staff development, orientation programs, and clinical competency frameworks Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise education initiatives within a busy theatre environment Well-developed clinical problem-solving and critical thinking skills A strong commitment to mentoring and coaching staff, fostering professional growth and positively influencing team performance and patient outcomes Remuneration $58.81 superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
