The Role This position has operational accountability for their team within Occupational Therapy and reports operationally to the Department Head and has professional accountability to their Discipline Advisor. The Team Leader will provide operational direction, lead, guide and manage the team across the relevant facility and facilitate the implementation of high levels of clinical expertise in order to provide high quality care to patients/clients and their carers consistent with NSW Ministry of Health (MoH) and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. Selection Criteria Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and current registration with AHPRA and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning. Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Rehabilitation and Neurology within Occupational Therapy Demonstrated ability to provide high-level guidance, leadership, and strategic management of staff, resources, and services, with a strong focus on building team capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes while applying evidence-based practice to enhance clinical outcomes within the designated area. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
