The role involves providing clean, sterile or disinfected items and equipment to stakeholders across the hospital, preparing daily operations including sterile stock rotation and control within the operating suite stock room, and reprocessing flexible endoscopes in the dedicated scope reprocessing room within perioperative services. To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate II or III in Sterilisation Services and be available to participate in a rotating roster that includes all shifts, all days of the week and public holidays. You will have a sound understanding of WHS and infection control principles relevant to the CSSD environment, along with the ability to work effectively either independently or as part of a team in accordance with the position description. Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure quality objectives are met and the required standards of the Sterilising Department are maintained. Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent & Experience working in a Hospital Sterilising Services Department with sound knowledge and understanding of AS 5369: 2023, Infection Prevention and Control and WH&S requirements Demonstrated ability to work independently or as an integral team member under the guidance of a Staff Supervisor for the process of complex medical devices including Orthopaedic loan equipment Ability to prioritise and communicate workload to achieve quality and timely process outcomes.
