About The Opportunity We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to support the smooth running and upkeep of our Thornbury aged care home. In this essential role, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our elders. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of those in our care. The role involves a variety of responsibilities including general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the home, with a strong focus on safety and compliance with industry standards. Working closely with the broader team, you will help ensure maintenance issues are addressed promptly and that our Thornbury aged care home remains a welcoming and secure environment for both residents and staff. The Day-To-Day Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility. Ensure all equipment is in working order and compliant with safety regulations. Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner. Assist with facility upgrades or improvements as needed. Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth operation. Log all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. What Success Looks Like For This Role Previous experience in an aged care setting is desirable Trade Qualifications in Construction/Electrical/Plumbing desirable, not essential Building and equipment maintenance on an ongoing basis Liaison with external contractors where required Lawn and garden maintenance as required Management of Fire Safety & Evacuation Procedures Why choose a career with Fronditha Care?
