This role provides high-level administrative, financial, human resource and facilities support to the principal and plays a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the school. About The School Gympie Special School is a Qld Department of Education facility that provides specialised education for students from Prep to Year 12. The school's core mission is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to engage meaningfully in both school life and the broader community. Step Into Your Next Chapter Process and monitor staff leave, provide advice to staff on leave requirements. Organise and manage supply and contract placements for both teaching and support staff. Assisting the Principal with school budgeting and managing financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, banking, reconciliations, Student Resource Scheme and One School reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Assist with the management and support of grounds, facilities and cleaning staff by providing support, sharing learning and demonstrating personal integrity. Implementing and monitoring process in accordance with departmental policy for the issue of school keys to staff and contractors. Preparing reports, meeting minutes, and school documentation. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including staff, parents, contractors, community members and departmental representatives. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and manage administrative support to school operations.
