Account Manager – HVAC / Technical Services (Victoria) $3–4M Portfolio | True 2IC to GM | Commercial Leadership Role A leading national technical services provider is looking for a commercially astute Account Manager to step into a high-impact leadership role within its Victorian business. This is not a standard Account Manager position. Acting as the clear 2IC to the General Manager , this role has been created to bring stronger commercial and financial leadership into an already well-established technical team . The Role With Service Managers reporting into you, you will sit at the centre of operations and commercial performance—ensuring service delivery is aligned with financial outcomes and client expectations . You’ll take the lead on: P&L performance, forecasting, and margin improvement Managing and strengthening key client relationships Identifying untapped revenue opportunities within existing accounts Supporting the GM in driving overall business performance This role is less about reactive service management and more about owning and optimising a business unit . What They’re Looking For Strong P&L and commercial management experience Background in HVAC, electrical, or integrated FM environments Technical grounding (electrical or HVAC) is essential Ability to lead managers and influence teams A mindset focused on performance, improvement, and growth Candidates from integrated FM backgrounds will be highly regarded, provided they bring strong technical foundations .
