Position Summary The Technical Extension Specialist plays a pivotal role in bringing our innovations to life. Based in Regional VIC/SA, this role works cross-functionally with sales, R&D, regulatory, and marketing teams to provide technical leadership and ensure the successful development, launch, and adoption of FMC’s crop protection solutions. Location: Regional Victoria or South Australia Reporting to: Technical Extension Lead The Role Plan, coordinate and execute field trials and demonstration programs, assessing and reporting results. Act as a technical contact for customers, industry scientists, and agronomy professionals. Provide technical training and support to FMC staff, customers, and channel partners. Develop technical content such as brochures, fact sheets, and articles. Support the commercialization of new products while providing technical assistance for existing lines. Handle technical enquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution. Conduct trials supporting label extensions and ensuring compliance with FMC’s safety, environmental and transport standards. The Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science or related discipline. Minimum 5 to 8 years of working experience in crop protection R&D, agricultural chemicals, or agronomy. Strong knowledge of Australian agronomic practices and agricultural chemistry. Experience supporting product development and commercialization in agriculture with vast focus in broadacre crop protection is an advantage. Skilled in trial design, execution and analysis (Microsoft Office, statistical tools). A collaborative team player with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Regular regional travel is required to manage trials, engage with customers, and support FMC’s field programs.
