We’re looking for experienced Structural Engineers at Senior and Intermediate level to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle, or any other of GHD’s Northern NSW offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on local building projects, while working as part of our collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary global team. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Leading and supporting structural design projects for buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting. Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects. Ongoing career development opportunities in a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture. Providing clients with expert technical guidance and strategic advice, while developing and maintaining strong and supportive client relationships. Project management and leading project teams to ensure successful project delivery. What you will bring to the team: A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering. Between 5 and 15 years’ industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment. Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials. Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable. Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards. Strong communication skills and ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
