Job Summary: The Lead Business Process Analyst is a senior role within the Business Process Analysis team, combining hands‑on delivery of complex business analysis with day‑to‑day leadership of a team of Business Process Analysts. This role plays a key part in driving high‑quality process analysis and improvement across cross‑functional initiatives, while also lifting capability, consistency and standards across the BPA function. Working closely with operational leaders, project teams and technical stakeholders, the Lead BPA ensures analysis activities directly support successful operational change and practical, sustainable outcomes. Responsibilities: Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex and cross‑functional process analysis and improvement initiatives, ensuring high‑quality outputs aligned to business objectives. Deliver clear, actionable analysis and documentation across process mapping, requirements definition, solution design and change impact assessment. Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and guidance to Business Process Analysts, supporting delivery quality, consistency and capability uplift. Act as a delivery lead for analysis activities, helping analysts clarify scope, structure requirements, resolve blockers and meet agreed timelines. Review and quality‑check analysis outputs to ensure alignment with agreed frameworks and standards. Partner with the BPA Manager to plan, sequence and coordinate analysis work across multiple initiatives, contributing to resourcing, prioritisation and effort estimates. Identify, manage and communicate analysis‑related risks, dependencies and constraints across initiatives. Act as a senior point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating workshops and walkthroughs to validate requirements and shape effective solutions. Collaborate with operational, project, IT and support teams to ensure process changes can be practically implemented and embedded. Requirements: Strong experience as a Business Process Analyst (or similar) in an operational environment, with hands‑on experience in process mapping, improvement and solution design. Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver analysis across complex or multi‑stream initiatives. Experience providing leadership, mentoring or coaching to other analysts, with a focus on lifting quality and consistency. Proven ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, project and change teams, and IT delivery teams. Understanding of superannuation and investment administration functions (essential). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate process issues, risks and recommendations. Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, able to prioritise competing demands and maintain momentum under pressure.
