About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a high-performing legal team supporting a broad range of commercial, regulatory and governance matters across a complex international organisation. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of work including commercial contracting, regulatory and privacy matters, intellectual property, governance and strategic projects. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple business units and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives while balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide pragmatic legal advice across a wide range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including supplier, partnership, licensing, sponsorship and services agreements Identify legal and commercial risks within contracts and provide clear mitigation strategies Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver practical and solutions-focused advice Support governance initiatives, policy development and regulatory compliance frameworks Provide advice on intellectual property matters including licensing, brand protection and commercialisation Manage and instruct external legal advisers where required Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates and risk management practices Deliver legal training and support knowledge sharing across the organisation About You: Qualified Australian legal practitioner with approximately 5–8 years’ PQE in general commercial law Experience gained in-house or within a reputable private practice environment Strong commercial contracting and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical advice for business stakeholders Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Experience supporting regulatory compliance and governance matters is highly regarded Exposure to international legal or regulatory issues will be advantageous Why Apply: This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation with a global footprint and a collaborative culture.
