Halcyon Cabarita Beach Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Chef to join the high performing Kitchen team of hatted Restaurant, Paper Daisy. The ethos that drives Paper Daisy is one of sophisticated simplicity, producing dishes that are satisfying, thoughtful and deeply memorable. Paper Daisy is open exclusively to in-house guests for breakfast and open to the public for lunch and dinner by reservation. The position carries with it a salary of $76,750 plus superannuation. Responsibilities ·Demonstrate your passion for flavor and meticulous eye for detail, producing a superior standard and quality of food at all times, in line with established hatted restaurant standard. ·Work co-operatively and productively in a high-pressure environment. ·Ensure all wastage is kept under strict control. ·High level of personal presentation and hygiene and ensure hygienic standards in the kitchen at all times and compliance with Food Safety Standards. Skills or Experience ·Relevant culinary qualification and at least 1 years’ experience in comparable high-end restaurant(s). ·Well versed in high volume food production. ·Comprehensive understanding of produce and culinary techniques ·Organised and systematic in your approach. ·Meticulous attention to detail and presentation. ·Self-motivated and contribute positive energy to the team environment. ·Communicate and collaborate effectively. ·Enjoy working in a high volume, fast paced environment. ·Strong capability to multi-task and work well under pressure Company Profile Situated at idyllic Cabarita Beach in Northern NSW, multi-award winning Halcyon House is home to Australia's premier 22 room boutique luxury hotel, Halcyon Spa, and award winning hatted restaurant, Paper Daisy.
