This is a Quarry Supervisor role with Boral based in Melbourne, VIC, AU Boral Role Seniority - mid level More about the Quarry Supervisor role at Boral Your next opportunity We are actively seeking a driven and safety focused Quarry Supervisor to join the site leadership team at Deer Park, overseeing Quarry fixed plant and mobile plant operations. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, the successful candidate must have a genuine interest in the day-to-day management and challenges of supervising Quarry operation. This is a permanent full-time opportunity. The successful candidate will be supported by the Quarry Manager and a strong team of Production/ Plant Operators. The role: Supervise and co-ordinate site operations ensuring production requirements are achieved in a safe manner. Communicate with the work group and key stakeholders on a daily basis Organise repairs maintenance of equipment and scheduling whilst anticipating future production requirements Carry out inspections and report outcomes to ensure all fixed plant maintenance are delivered within safe working conditions and to ensure that operations meet the environmental and legislative requirements Utilise initiative and their skills to identify, manage, and solve issues as they arise Ensure that plant and equipment are operated within safe working conditions and to ensure that operations meet the environmental and legislative requirements Planning, organisation, safety performance, production targets, quality control, customer liaison and continuous improvement. What Are We Looking For? You will thrive in leading, organising, and motivating production teams, with previous experience in leading roles in civil or mining operations. The successful candidate will: Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations will be highly regarded; particularly crushing and screening operations Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to drive results whilst prioritising various competing deadlines Strong leadership, people management, and/or mentoring skills, particularly when supporting driving compliance and a culture of HSE & Quality Relevant qualifications in quarry supervision is desirable Experience in the operation of fixed plant equipment in a civil/mining environment Understanding of fixed plant and equipment maintenance practices What’s On Offer?
