About the role: This position will be responsible for ensuring that: Undertake general servicing of Council plant, heavy and light vehicles and equipment. Diagnose problems from electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. Diagnose faults in machinery/vehicles systems and rectify. Interpret manuals and software to identify spare parts and liaise with the quality coordinator to procure. Ensure work is performed to comply with Council standards. Perform routine duties in accordance with established and documented processes as required. Plan and undertake works efficiently and in accordance with industry standards. Attend out of hours breakdowns and vehicle retrievals, if required. About You: Trade Qualified mechanic (Light Vehicle Mechanical and/or Heavy Vehicle Mechanical) Current Car and MR truck Licence (Essential) Demonstrated experience in undertaking all types of Fleet repairs including: - Industrial, Earth moving, Heavy Vehicles, Agricultural, Light Truck and Commercial, Passenger and Small Plant. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpretation of spare parts to carry out repairs and mechanical services to plant and machinery.
