This is an initial contract role with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent position for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities This role is centered on high-level production support and precision grade control. Your daily focus will include: Pit Operations: Executing all control activities within the open pit, including geological mapping, sampling, and the physical marking of ore blocks. Quality Assurance: Managing grade control sampling programs to ensure the highest standards of data collection and recording. Field Inspections: Conducting regular pit inspections to monitor ore/waste boundaries and ensure compliance with geological models. Data Integrity: Maintaining accurate geological databases to support production targets and minimize dilution. Your Profile We are looking for a practical, field-ready Geologist who meets the following criteria: Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Geoscience. Technical Skill: Proven experience in open-pit mining with a specifically strong capability in grade control. Availability: Ability to start immediately and commit to a DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) arrangement. Adaptability: Comfortable working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
