About the role: Our Host Employer, Jag Hire & Maintenance , is a South Australian‑owned business specialising in pump and mechanical equipment services. Their work includes fire pump systems, water tanks, oil‑water separators, and ongoing maintenance and repair for a wide range of clients. This is a great opportunity for a mature‑age career changer or early‑stage apprentice looking to build practical skills in a supportive, hands‑on environment. As a Maintenance Fitter Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and learn valuable, in‑demand skills, including: Using precision measuring tools such as verniers, taps, and dies Installing and maintaining mechanical seals and gland packing on pumps Assisting with diesel engine assembly, alignment, and fault finding Safely using a wide range of hand and power tools Gaining real‑world experience both on site and in the workshop No previous trade experience is required — a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are what matter most. Location: Morphett Vale Hour of work: Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.00pm What’s in it for you?
